LeBron James has become only the second athlete in history to have twenty signature sneakers, behind Michael Jordan. Unlike all models prior, the Nike LeBron 20 was not designed with LeBron in mind, but the next generation of athletes, such as his sons, Bronny and Bryce. This silhouette is also the first Nike LeBron to come in low-top form, as all previous models were either high or mid. With eyes on the future, here's a breakdown of all the Nike LeBron 20's set to release in 2023 and 2023.
First seen on the feet of LeBron James in a "Pink Diamond" colorway during a weekend trip to NYC, it was then spotted in the "Miami Heat" and "Time Machine" editions via Bronny and Bryce. Getting into the design, the Nike LeBron 20 sports a full knit upper, very Kobe-esque. While this provides a lightweight design, the key elements of the LeBron 20 come via the tech inside. The Cushlon foam midsole features top-loaded forefoot Zoom Air with a 13mm Zoom Air unit in the heel. A midfoot carbon fiber shank plate and lateral guardrail provide support, sandwiched between the midsole and outsole. Speaking of the outsole, it features a multidirectional traction array for stability.
The Nike LeBron 20 has already seen an early release with the "Violet Frost" colorway via JD Sports and Finish Line on September 1st, 2022. It is expected to see a wider release on October 15th. More drops are set to follow in 2022 and 2023. They will launch at Nike as well as select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $200.
