Go Back In Time With The Nike LeBron 20 Pre-Heat

Going back to 2010, LeBron James’ free agency was bigger than sports itself, drawing an international audience during a broadcast on ESPN when he announced his decision to join the Miami Heat. Up until that point, many of his signature sneakers with Nike drew inspiration from the Cavs, St. Vincent-St. Mary, and James’ favorite things like, Fruity Pebbles. Prior to his official debut on the Miami Heat, Nike Basketball released the coveted LeBron 8 “South Beach,” the first of many “Pre-Heat” colorways that would be linked to specific players across their roster during pivotal career moments. Now 20 years deep in the NBA and with Nike, the LeBron 20 is getting the “Pre-Heat” treatment with this "Time Machine" colorway.

Across the upper, a knit material in a barely green shade takes over, while accenting vibrant hits of pink, orange, and blue can be found throughout. Around the eyestays, an orange-shaded leather houses a set of white flat laces, weaving through the “XX” lace dubrae in pink while the tongue above features a debossed LeBron signature. More branding details appear on the midfoot with double Swoosh action coming in barely green and in iridescent fashion, though the medial side just features the latter of the two. Back on the heel, The Kings crown logo appears on a blue leather patch with tonal blue stitching attaching it to the upper. Providing extra contrast is the pink sockliner and insole, matching the foam midsole. Speaking of the midsole, Nike brings its Cushlon technology to the cushioning system while also adding Zoom Air on the forefoot and heel for added impact protection. Rounding out the design is the multidirectional traction pattern featured on the rubber outsole.

The Nike LeBron 20 Time Machine is set to release on September 29th, 2022 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
