With semi-frequent visits to the island nation, LeBron James has shown love to the Philippines through a continued release of "Agimat" colorways on his signature sneaker line with Nike, dating back to 2017. Previous LeBron 19 releases took inspiration from the country's folklore, culture, and national colors, even hosting a collaboration with local sneaker boutique Titan. Though the latest to join the Pinoy lineup forgoes the previous influences, instead coming in a clean white and gold makeup on the Nike LeBron 19 Low "Beyond The Seas."
Coming in dressed in a white and metallic gold, the silhouette still maintains its basketball-ready construction with mesh and leather utilized throughout the upper. The single hue of white reaches throughout the aforementioned materials on the toebox, tongue, midfoot, and heel, while laces get a two-tone combo of white and blue. Atop the tongue sits a gilded LeBron lion logo, matching the included hangtag. Further branding details come in the same shade, seen on the Nike Swooshes located on the toe and midsole and on the LBJ text on the heel. The true nod to the archipelagic country is found on the forefoot of the icy blue midsole with the left shoe proclaiming “I look forward to returning to Manila again!!” while the right reads “The passion for basketball in the Philippines is incredible,” both of which come in the national colors of red and blue respectively. Completing the design is the white foam midsole that gets a visible Air unit in the heel while the icy blue rubber outsole below provides superior traction for a game of ball.
The Titan x Nike LeBron 19 Low Beyond The Seas is slated to release on September 4th, 2022 exclusively at Titan both in-store and online. A wider release through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store will follow on September 8th. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
