The Nike Kobe line is a force to be reckoned with. Dominating basketball courts at every single level of the game, as well as the lifestyle market, Mamba Protros continue to take up shelf space and fly fast. It only makes sense, then, that Nike would also bring back Kobe’s off-court colorways, and amidst a serious run of NBA signature Air Force 1s, Kobe’s 2006 denim PE is a perfect addition to the collection.

The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low Protro Denim is the latest Mamba AF1 to hit the market, but this pair comes with 20 years of history. The 2006 OG was made just for Kobe, but now, the two-tone denim colorway is finally getting a retail drop.

Starting with dark blue denim on the toe, lace, and heel panels, the classic AF1 paneling switches it up on the toebox and side panels in light blue denim that looks like the reverse side of a worn-in pair of jeans. Orange stitching is added to the entire upper to match the orange Kobe sheath logo on the lateral heel, the writing on the tongue tag, and the Kobe sheath-graphic outsole.
