As the Nike Kobe line continues to honor the legacy of the late Kobe Bryant, we're seeing a steady flow of Protro versions of fan-favorite silhouettes. Part of the Summer 2024 lineup is the retro release of the Nike Kobe 6 "Italian Camo." This much-anticipated revival joins the other classics, Kobe 4 Protro "Philly" and Kobe 8 Protro "Venice Beach," that will launch past the relaunching of the Kobe line this August.
This iteration of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro pays tribute to Kobe's formative years spent in Italy, adding a layer of personal significance to the colorway. The upper features a faux reptile overlay, typical of the Kobe 6 silhouette, adorned in a camouflage finish that mirrors the aesthetic of the Italian military uniform. Highlighted by crimson accents, the Swoosh, Kobe logo on the tongue, Kobe's signature on the heel, and the lining of the tongue create a striking contrast against the camo upper. Black sections on the heel frame the green-tinted TPU heel counter, ensuring it stands out. Anchoring the design, a black foam midsole pairs perfectly with the green and tan rubber outsole.
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro Italian Camo will release on April 13, 2024 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
