Leaked Photos Give us an In-Hand Look at the Nike KD 6 All-Star Retro

Every February, the NBA world takes a deep breath, steps back from the daily grind, and comes together to drink too much, promote their sponsors, and pretend to compete in an exhibition game that leaves defense at the door. With the All-Star Weekend celebration comes a flood of sneaker releases, new and retro, and this year, Nike is throwing it back to a classic KD colorway from All-Star’s past.

After popping up in the catalog alongside a handful of upcoming Nike KD 6 retros, we got a look at a set of leaked in-hand photos of the All-Star NOLA Gumbo colorway that first dropped 12 years ago for the 2014 All-Star Game in New Orleans. Keeping the same jazzy mix of yellow, red, and white paint stripes on top of a black background with teal accents, the shoe is a gumbo pot of colors that somehow comes together perfectly.

While most KD-centric sneakerheads point to the Slim Reaper’s fourth Nike signature as their favorite model, KD recently said that the KD 6 is his personal favorite, a perfectly timed soundbite for the retro release of the silhouette.
