For the first time, the Nike KD 3 appears in the highly coveted “Aunt Pearl.”
Kevin Durant’s history with The Swoosh runs deep as the Brooklyn Nets superstar forward has been under the Nike banner for nearly two decades now and has brought forth plenty of thematic colorways that tie into his personal life. One of the most iconic, the “Aunt Pearl” releases. Nodding to his late-Aunt Pearl who fought a battle with cancer, the KD 4 and onward would feature at least one release of this all-pink colorway, however, Nike and Durant are bringing out the Nike KD 3 in the “Aunt Pearl” colorway.
Like every other “Aunt Pearl” release, the KD 3s Flywire, leather, and mesh construction come covered in tonal shades of pink with lighter shades landing on the toebox, midfoot panel, and heel. Along the mesh tongue and lace set sits a vibrant pink hue while the weaved material along the midfoot also borrows this shade. Accenting this is a white Nike Swoosh that runs back towards the heel and its KD branded logo in pink. Bright pink along the sockliner and heel tab complete the upper while the midsole comes in a two-tone white/pink build paired with a pink rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 3 Aunt Pearl is set to release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
