Texas Unveils a Nike KD 19 PE After Upset NCAA Tournament Win

The Texas Longhorns are dancing their way to the second round of the men’s NCAA Tournament after an upset victory against AJ Dybantsa and the sixth-seed BYU squad, with a second-round match-up now set against the third-seed Gonzaga this weekend. On the women's side of things, Texas stomped through the first round and looks to justify its 1 seed all tourney long. For a little extra boost of confidence, the Texas team was treated to a little inspiration from the Slim Reaper.

The Nike KD 19 Texas Orange PE is only the third colorway of KD’s upcoming 19th signature Nike silhouette we’ve seen, adding a full coat of orange patent leather to represent Durant’s alma mater. From the outsole to the KD tongue logo and the “Z” textured graphic on the side panel, every inch of the shoe is covered in orange.

Texas’ pre-release PE colorway makes sense, not only because Durant’s alma mater has always factored heavily into his signature colorways, but also because the school signed a deal to rep Durant’s Nike subbrand earlier this month. As of now, we’ve only seen one picture of the pair in a promo shot, but Madison Booker was spotted wearing the pair.
