With the NBA off-season continuing to heat up in regards to trade rumors, free agent signings, and more, Kevin Durant’s signature line with Nike still has plenty of colorways on the horizon, including the famous “Aunt Pearl” tribute. Another colorway has recently emerged, though its ties to KD stop at the silhouette as WNBA star Napheesa Collier pays tribute to her Minnesota Lynx on this animal print-covered Nike KD 15.
Multi-Color shades of blue, pinks, oranges, and whites dress the sneaker's mesh upper with the aforementioned animal print pattern taking over, tying in both the team colors and mascot of the Lynx. A mixture of blue and white print works throughout the base layer with accenting shades of orange and pink around the toe, eyestays, and the midfoot's plastic cage providing extra pop. Working up the tongue is a solid blue lace set with this same shade taking over the entire heel. Mismatched Swoosh’s in white and orange are present along the midfoot via the lateral and medial side respectively. Floral print and KD branding land on the multicolor animal-printed insole in an accenting white. Completing the look is a blue foam midsole and grippy blue rubber outsole.
The Nike KD 15 Napheesa Collier is slated to release on August 1st, 2022 through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
