Nike’s Take on the Polo Bear is a Chill Dog Wearing Forces

Fashion is all about inspiration. Sometimes, though, an influence flies a little too close to the sun, and looks a bit more like parody than a new take. For Nike, a look at the brand’s latest kids hoodie had the internet up in arms immediately, drawing instant comparison to the famous Polo Ralph Lauren teddy bear motif.

A Chill Dog with Bear Vibes

The Nike Just a Chill Dog Hoodie is a new youth graphic hoodie arriving in two colorways for the holiday season. The hoodie features a central graphic of a fluffy dog standing on two legs like a person, front paws in its pockets, with a Just Do It hat sitting between its ears, a Swoosh hoodie of its own (Inception style), a baggy pair of pants, and a pair of Air Force 1s.

Arriving in grey and blue, the hoodies are a dead ringer for the Polo Bear style, down to the dog putting its paws in its pockets. But while Polo has been using the bear graphic in different outfits for years on sweaters, hoodies, and more, the Nike shoe dog reference seems like a stretch.

Nike Just a Chill Dog Hoodie Release Details

The Nike Just a Chill Dog Hoodie will be released Holiday 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in youth sizing, the retail price is set at $60.
