Nike continues to innovate in sports footwear, with breakdancing as its latest venture. The Nike Jam is the first shoe designed specifically for the sport, debuting just in time for the Summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, where breakdancing will make its Olympic debut. Following the initial previews of the White Varsity Royal and Black Gum colorways, images of a new Dark Driftwood iteration have emerged.
The Nike Jam Dark Driftwood features a complex construction of mesh, nubuck, suede, leather, and textile, creating a layered look that is both functional and stylish. The upper showcases earthy dark driftwood and hemp hues, with black accents on the nylon strap along the profile and the Swoosh logo, lined with white textiles for a subtle contrast. Additional black details include the pull tab on the heel and the Nike logo on the tongue. The midsole blends sail and dark driftwood, featuring an upside-down Swoosh near the midfoot to ensure visibility during headspins. The look is completed with a black and dark driftwood outsole designed for optimal grip and durability.
The Nike Jam Dark Driftwood will release on July 24, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120.
