Futuristic slides are having a bit of a moment. Nike itself is no stranger to this trend, with the Nike MMW 005 Khaki Slide releasing just last month. Now, the Swoosh continues the theme and adds a velvety ISPA Universal “Butter” to its lineup.
The Nike ISPA Universal is a glueless foam clog built with a Bio-EVA foam derived from sugarcane feedstocks. The butter yellow splotched across the body is toned down compared to something like a canary yellow but still retains an element of brightness. Distressed patches can be found across the model, revealing bits of standard white foam. Each model is buffed by hand, resulting in a unique pattern for each pair. While the midsole retains the same buttery theme, it begins to fade as it reaches the outsoles. The ISPA Universal also includes two sets of cork insoles to extend the shoe’s lifespan.
The Nike ISPA Universal “Butter” is set to release in July via Nike and select retailers, online and in-store. Releasing in mens sizing, the retail price is set at $80.
