Radioactive Vibes Feature On The Nike ISPA Mindbody Barely Volt

From the Link to the Sense, all the way to the Road Warrior, ever since it was established in 2018, Nike ISPA has continuously pushed sneaker design to its limits. Standing for "Improvise. Scavenge. Protect. Adapt." every single time the deconstructed division drops a new shoe, everyone watches in complete awe, and the same can definitely be said about the freshly-revealed Nike ISPA Mindbody "Barely Volt." Unlike anything else out there, if you're in the market for an environmentally-conscious sneaker that's made to turn heads wherever you go, this might just be what you've been looking for all this time.

A show-stopping silhouette which surfaced back in November, this striking rendition swaps the "Khaki Brown" tones for an electrifying volt color scheme. This vibrant green hue makes its way across the entire sneaker's upper, which has been made in partnership with biomaterials company, Living Ink. Like Kanye West's Foam Runner, the knit construction has been infused with algae, and instead of the usual petroleum-derived dyes used in conventional kicks, the Mindbody is one of the first pairs to be painted in, what Living Ink calls, Algae Ink. This results in an extra sustainable finish that's sure to lower your overall carbon footprint. Elsewhere, a toggle switch lacing system runs across the entire shoe, and down below, you'll find a bulbous coconut milk midsole that's crafted from rubber scraps sourced from factory floors. To make it even more eco-friendly, this unit is attached to the upper with physical stitching rather than adhesives. This makes it easier to recycle as there won't be a need to remove any glue beforehand. Nike really thought of everything, didn't they?

What the cool kids are calling apocalyptic chic, the Nike ISPA Mindbody Barely Volt will release in men's sizes on April 25th, 2023. A retail price is set at $180, and they will be available via Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers both online and in physical locations globally.
