In this current era of performance basketball models, most players and fans alike choose one of the many signature silhouettes that the top talent pool in the NBA offers. Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nuggets star center, is choosing the less beaten path, taking the Nike Hyperdunk X and attaching his likeness to the inline Nike Basketball offering. To coincide with this, The Swoosh is dressing the model in Jokic’s team colors of the Denver Nuggets.
Taking on a stark white shade across most of the silhouette, the accenting blue and gold shades from the Nuggets team colors shine through on various details. Working across the mesh and fused plastic upper, once you reach the midfoot you’ll find the eyestays hosting white laces surrounded by a golden hue. Hyperdunk X branding appears via the pull tab laid atop the tongue while the nearby sockliner gets the navy blue treatment. As for the last hit of branding on the upper, the midfoot’s Nike Swoosh borrows the same shade of navy as the sockliner, as does the heel’s bungee pull tab that finishes the pop of color on the neutral colorway. Underfoot, the white Zoom Air cushioned midsole gets splattered in navy and gold while the semi-translucent rubber outsole gets an icy blue makeover.
The Nike Hyperdunk X Denver Nuggets is set to release in 2022 through Nike and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is TBA.
