Nike’s First Sight project was crafted to reshape women’s athletic footwear with formalwear and sports influence and was named for its goal of making sneakerheads fall in love at first sight. For the Foamposite-influenced slip-on First Sight Shadow, though, it was a set of new in-hand images - our third or fourth sight - that actually gave us a real look at the silhouette’s bejeweled upper.
The Nike First Sight Shadow popped up in triple-black in new in-hand images this week, and in addition to the soft bubbled fabric covering the upper and the rippling side panel designs, the standout feature is a series of iridescent gems lined up at the lateral and medial heel. Stacked to accentuate the middle of the panel, the infinity stone style reminds us a bit of Jaylen Brown’s 741 Rover design.

From the front, the slip-on silhouette looks less like a Foamposite, with a keyhole-shaped panel instead of a toebox, and a sleek stretchy panel where a tongue would be. In addition to the Shadow, Nike’s First Sight line features two more silhouettes: the Mirage and the Noir.
The Nike First Sight Shadow will debut Fall 2026 through Nike and select retailers in-store and online. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $145. For all the latest Nike First Sight news and info, download the Sole Retriever App.
