As Nike continues celebrating iconic sports events through its footwear, the brand has chosen the revered Nike Dunk Low to pay tribute to one of tennis's grandest tournaments, the US Open. Following a series of sports-themed releases, including a Dunk Low themed after The Masters, the Nike Dunk Low Premium US Open edition emerges, bringing the vibrant and competitive spirit of the courts to the streets.
The US Open edition of the Nike Dunk Low Premium blends premium materials and meticulous color placement to echo the visual elements of the tournament's venue, Arthur Ashe Stadium. The sneaker features a luxe combination of photon dust and white on its suede and tumbled leather construction, providing a canvas reflecting tennis attire's clean aesthetic. Strategic blue pops highlight the leather Swoosh and sockliner, mirroring the iconic blue courts. Green accents on the suede heel tab and outsole nod to the outer courts of the venue. This color scheme not only pays homage to the US Open's color palette but also ties back to the essence of the game itself. Additionally, the tongue tag features the Nike Tennis logo, cementing the shoe’s thematic focus. Rounding out the look is the white midsole below.
The Nike Dunk Low Premium US Open W will release on August 27, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the sneaker is priced at $125.
