As the old saying goes, “another day, another Dunk.” With the basketball sneaker’s monumental rise in popularity over the past few years, Nike is having to work double-time to keep up with the insane demand by releasing even more colorways. While colorways like the “Reverse Panda” are sure to sell-out, the Beaverton-based footwear giant are never ones to play it safe. That’s where options like the upcoming Nike Dunk Low "Metallic Silver" come in. Clearly this hasn’t been made to conform with everyone’s tastes, but that doesn’t stop it from being a cool release.
Upon first glance, this Dunk immediately reminds us of the Air Jordan 1 High CO.JP “Neutral Grey” that was brought back in 2020. Featuring a tumbled leather base that’s smooth to the touch, the entire upper has been drenched in metallic silver for a look that is sure to turn heads. A complementary Swoosh hits the laterals and medials, while the laces, sockliner, and tongue have all been done up in a crisp white palette. The midsole is dipped in creamy sail for a vintage vibe, and to round it all off, a brand-new Swoosh pattern adorns the heel and insole, finishing off the design.
The Nike Dunk Low Metallic Silver is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, both online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $110.
