Over the last half-decade, we’ve been inundated with new colorways of the Nike Dunk Low. Trends have shifted away from the retro basketball models of the ‘80s to more modern-era sneakers from Y2K and beyond, but still, more Dunks are on the way. Nike's upcoming Holiday 2024 release calendar includes a new Light Violet Ore colorway of the Dunk Low.
Tonal purple hues take over the entire sneaker, with a mixture of tumbled leather, ripstop nylon, and suede present. Dark purple hues land along the suede Swoosh and heel tab, taking over the mesh sockliner. The titular hue, light violet ore, lands on the tumbled leather mudguard, eyestays, heel overlay, and lace set. Along the toebox, midfoot, collar, and ripstop nylon tongue are shades of platinum violet, completing the tonal look of the upper. However, team gold accents land along the tongue tag and heel tab, providing a break from the purple shades. Rounding out the design is a sail midsole paired with a light violet ore rubber outsole.
The Nike Dunk Low Light Violet Ore will release on October 16, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, retail is set at $125.
