Nike has a longstanding tradition of honoring various cities, states, and countries worldwide, showcasing their cultural significance through unique colorways on classic models like the Dunk Low. This year, Nike is paying homage to the vibrant city of Berlin with an all-new Dunk Low colorway. This release draws inspiration from Berlin's iconic underground clubbing scene, reflecting the city's edgy and dynamic nightlife.
The Nike Dunk Low Berlin features a predominantly black upper with patent leather accents on the mudguard, eyestays, and portions of the heel overlay. These patent leather elements have a 3M finish, revealing an exotic pattern when exposed to light, reminiscent of the strobe lights in Berlin's clubs. The shoe's design is further enhanced by black tumbled leather on the toe, midfoot, and collar, providing a rich texture contrast.
Grey hues adorn the lace set, sockliner, Swoosh, and heel tab, adding a sleek, sophisticated touch. Additional metallic hardware on the lace set elevates the sneaker's aesthetic, while unique branding details include a red, yellow, and blue circle atop the Nike logo on the right insole. The No Photography Allowed warning inside the tongue tag nods to the privacy of the city's exclusive clubs. The design has a grey midsole featuring black contrast stitching and a black rubber outsole to complete the look.
The Nike Dunk Low Berlin will release on October 5, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, retail is set at $130. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
