San Francisco's Chinatown is said to be one of the oldest in history and one of the largest Chinese enclaves outside of Asia. The neighborhood, which originated in the late 1840s, is rich in culture and heritage. To honor this important part of San Fran history, Nike is releasing the Dunk High SF Chinatown Gold Mountain edition special edition.
Working on top of a crisp summit white leather base, desert ore and light bone suede panels wrap around the rest of the upper, lush evergreen accents explore the sockliner and heel pull tab. Around the back, you'll find a golden mountain graphic with a pair of traditional Chinese clouds about the Old Gold Mountain nickname the Chinese first gave San Francisco when they arrived by boat in the 1800s. This moniker can also be found etched onto the tongue in Chinese characters. It's wedged between a lotus flower and a Swoosh, done in luxe gold foil. Rounding off the Dunk is an icy blue rubber outsole underfoot that adds depth to the design.
The Nike Dunk High SF Chinatown Gold Mountain was originally released on May 9th, 2023. They are set to restock on December 1. Coming in men's and grade school sizes, they will be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers within the San Francisco area, online and in-store. Retail is set at $135 for men and $115 for GS.
