Most Nike Dunk releases are often scoffed at for their leather quality and overall construction as we no longer receive that same leather we were used to in 2020 with releases like the “Syracuse” or “Kentucky” colorway of the Nike Dunk Low, however, premium takes pop up every so often. While not being given the LXX moniker that usually denotes a more premium model, the upcoming Nike Dunk High “Light Orewood Brown” is elevated from your standard Dunk release.
A combination of ultra-tumbled leather and suede takes over the majority of the sneaker while smooth leather and corduroy appear on the Swoosh and tongue respectively. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay sits the aforementioned tumbled leather in a white shade while the toebox, quarter panel, and collar come dressed in grey suede. This same shade appears on the corduroy tongue while the laces receive a creamy aged treatment, accenting the light orewood brown color seen on the tongue tag. Continuing with the titular shade, the Nike Swoosh and leather pull tab on the heel. Underfoot sits an aged sail midsole paired with a light orewood brown rubber outsole which completes the look.
