With the Celtics still in the mix for the playoffs this season, it’s only right that one of the NBA’s greatest franchises gets immortalized in sneaker form. While releasing plenty of silhouettes featuring the Boston Celtics theme, Nike is dressing this upcoming kids exclusive Nike Dunk High in the aforementioned teams colors.
Coming dressed in its usual leather upper, this Nike Dunk High uses a mix of green, black and white to achieve its Celtics-inspired look. Surrounding the white perforated leather toebox is a green mudguard that wraps to meet the base of the green eyelets. A black on black look overtakes the tongue and laces, contrasted by the green and white Nike branded tongue tag up top.
Working along the midfoot is a black Nike swoosh that runs back to meet a green leather pull tab, popping off the white base and green heel overlay along the way. Matched to a white Dunk midsole and green rubber outsole with speckles throughout, the Boston Celtics inspired look is finished.
The Nike Dunk High Celtics GS is scheduled to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming exclusively in kid’s sizes, pricing has yet to be announced.
