Nike continues evolving its sustainable performance basketball line with the Cosmic Unity 2. The first Cosmic Unity was designed to create a top-tier performance basketball sneaker containing a large portion of recycled material. This Cosmic Unity 2 in "Off-White Multi-Color" is a look that departs from the usual greys, blues, and greens Nike’s Move to Zero sneakers are typically color-blocked with.
The upper of this Cosmic Unity 2 is made of a brown mesh with a multi-color band of knitted material sandwiched between the overlays. Metallic Gold thread creates a border between the knit and the mesh as the main pop of color on this sneaker. The extended midsole stability cage features the Nike Swoosh logo done in a marbled rubber, with channels created by a topographical design and the words “Nike Earth Mission” embossed into the design. The rest of the sneaker is fairly standard, an off-white ankle collar and inner liner, with a grey midsole and outsole. Ghost Green branding, stitched onto tongue and back heel pull tabs act as the last bit of color pop on this pair.
