Cue Danny Elfman’s “This is Halloween” for ‘tis the time. To celebrate the spooky season, Nike is dropping a collection of spooky sneaks starring their signature basketball stars. Ja Morant’s Ja 4 crawls forth with a zombie look, Kevin Durant channels his Slim Reaper persona on the KD 19, Sabrina Ionescu takes off to Transylvania for the Sabrina 4, and A’ja Wilson’s A’Two blends a special amalgamation of her favorite horror characters, and Cade Cunningham’s ST Charge PE revs up with a Leatherface look.

For the second consecutive year, Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is showing his love for The Nightmare Before Christmas with an Oogie Boogie-inspired pair of the Nike Book 2. Booker’s love for the ghastly boogeyman is understandable, seeing that they are both the personification of a deep bag.

Oogie’s Revenge

The silhouette features an off-white woven upper matching Boogie’s burlap body. Boogie’s signature stitching peppers the sneaker wrapping around the mudguard, giving it a re-sewn look. That same thick black stitching outlines the cream colored Swoosh. The tightly woven mudguard reinforces the look and flows into the off-white midsole. Underfoot is a milky semi-translucent outsole. If the Oogie Boogie inspiration isn’t clear enough, inside the shoe are graphic insoles printed with an array of insects, matching the innards of Boogie himself. Skeletal Book typography lined with neon green makes up the logo on the tongue. As an extra spooky feature, the tongue, Swoosh, and outsole glow-in-the-dark to complete the look.
