With over 30 colorways and two years on the market, the Nike Book 1’s chapter is about to close. This will give way to chapter 2 of Devin Booker’s signature sneaker series, the aptly named Nike Book 2, but there are plans to go out with a bang. No, we’re not talking about the What The rendition, which is limited to 1,996 pairs and expected to be released before the end of 2025. Nike brought us to their headquarters in Beaverton for a full rundown on the next chapter of Devin Booker's signature series and gave us insight into the final storyline for the OG model that will lead into the second sneaker.
Devin Booker’s connection to the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona region has been on full display throughout the last two years. Leaning into the literal story of a phoenix, the Book 1 will be concluded with the “Torched” colorway that is meant to mimic a phoenix’s ashes. If you’re unfamiliar with the folklore surrounding the mythical creature, it is said that once a phoenix dies, the fiery bird is reborn from the ashes of its predecessor.

Drawing parallels to mythology, Nike covers the sneaker in a frayed white canvas. Burned portions are found on the edge of the toebox and Swoosh, with the tongue, laces, and sole unit also containing “burned” details. The tongue tag also comes with a burn hole to drive home the theme. Inside, the sneaker contains a “1 of 1996” tag, denoting how limited the pair will be.
The Nike Book 1 Torched will be released Spring 2026 through Nike and possibly select retailers online and in-store. Limited to 1,996 units, the pair will retail for $155.
