Retro Nike silhouettes get plenty of love from both the public and over in Beaverton, Oregon. We continue to receive classics like the Air More Uptempo, though recently The Swoosh has been bringing back iconic models like the Air Max Penny 1 and more recently the Air Zoom Flight 95. While not an OG colorway, a clean and simple "Football Grey" is making its way to the Jason Kidd-worn model.
Across the upper, a combo of white tumbled leather on the underlays and black patent leather on the overlays creates a Concord-like appearance, though the usual details differentiate this from the AJ 11. On the toe, an embroidered Nike Swoosh continues the black/white color scheme as does the two-tone tongue and lace set. Working along the profile is the aforementioned patent leather overlays that come in a wavy design, home to a white Nike Swoosh just near the collar. The sockliner and insole combo divert from the two-tone look, coming instead in black and racer blue respectively. Underfoot, the chunky Zoom Air cushioned midsole is covered in white with football grey landing on the bug eyes. Rounding out the design is the rubber outsole coming in a glossy finish.
The Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 All-Star Football Grey is set to release in February 2023, likely around NBA All-Star weekend through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
