Nike Designer Frank Cooke Teases a Potential Air Worm NDestrukt Retro Return

Frank Cooke is back in his bag. After posting to Instagram that he had been instructed to cool it with the leaks on his Instagram Stories, Cooke took a little bit of time off from breaking industry news. Now, the pre-release previews are back, with Cooke giving us early looks at furry pairs of Air Forces and hints at upcoming retro returns.

Nike’s Latest Retro Preview

Earlier this year, Cooke posted an in-hand look at the Nike Air Max 180 with the caption “It’s time to get busy again…” and for his latest hand-held heat wave, he posted a pair of Dennis Rodman’s Air Worm NDestrukt with the caption “Twist.” Like his last retro preview, it's not exactly clear if the message is a retro preview or a tribute to forgotten grails.

Cooke got his hands on a vintage pair of Rodman’s signature shoe in a black, white, and red colorway to match The Worm’s Bulls jersey. The shoe is a little bent out of shape after two decades in storage, but the zipper-front model is still holding up to the test of time.

Nike Air Worm NDestrukt Details

The Nike Air Worm NDestrukt isn’t on the Nike release schedule, so don’t expect a retro return anytime soon, but considering how long it takes for projects like this to become reality, that doesn’t mean it isn’t on the way.
