Over at Nike we consistently see new innovations across the board and its Air Max lineup is always getting a fresh design on a yearly basis. New iterations of past silhouettes come to life alongside new models (like this year's Air Max Pulse) that offer new takes on the timeless technology of Air cushioning. One model that is set to receive a new update in 2023 is the VaporMax which when first introduced in 2017 became one of the most popular models in the Air Max family. Unlike previous updates that introduced radical changes, the Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit comes with close-to-OG construction and has now appeared in a clean “White Pure Platinum” colorway.
With the silhouette already seen in an “Oreo” and “Black” rendition, the “White Pure Platinum” comes to us in an all-over white construction across its Flyknit upper. Clear TPU overlays appear on the toebox, midfoot, and heel which helps reinforce the lightweight and stretchy Flyknit while we see branding details knitted into the design of the upper. This lands on the midfoot with a metallic silver Swoosh while the rest of the sneaker’s upper comes to us in a stark white shade. Working to the interior you’ll spot a chenille-like finish on the sockliner with a multi-color insole featuring Nike’s pinwheel Swoosh logo, likely indicating the model takes on some recycled materials in its construction. Rounding out the look is the clear semi-translucent VaporMax midsole and outsole.
The Nike Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit White Pure Platinum W is set to release on April 6th, 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
