Nike is continuing to reach back into the running archives. Following more recent revivals, like the Nike P-6000 and the Zoom Vomero 5, the brand is going further into its rich history by reinvigorating the Nike Air Pegasus 89. As the sixth installment in the Air Pegasus line, which now boasts 40 variants, this release continues the trend of classic running silhouettes getting modern-day makeovers.
This edition of the Air Pegasus 89 is an appealing blend of contemporary and classic. The upper is crafted from leather and suede, accented by mesh panels at the heel. Campfire orange pervades these portions, contrasting the cargo khaki suede panels on the heel and eyestays. The foundational leather adopts a crisp white hue, harmonizing with the tongue, laces, and sockliner. Complementing these elements, tan suede panels grace the mudguard and heel overlay. The Swoosh gets a dark grey makeover along the midfoot that matches the TPU eyestays above. Below, a white foam midsole and black rubber outsole round out the design.
The Nike Air Pegasus 89 Cargo Khaki Campfire Orange will release Holiday 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $105.
