Often worn by Scottie Pippen in the 90s, the Nike Air More Uptempo has transcended from being an on-court staple to one found on the feet of many at your local mall. Nike however wants to call back to its basketball heritage with the upcoming Nike Air More Uptempo "USA Hoops."
Dressed in a majority white leather upper, the silhouette gets accenting hits of red and blue throughout. Down on the toe, its embroidered Nike Swoosh dons a varsity royal, accenting the white leather and mesh surrounding it. White-on-white takes over the laces and tongue with plastic eyestays nearby borrowing the same color scheme. Running along the midfoot is the iconic AIR text leather overlays in white trimmed with an accenting red. More colorful hits come courtesy of the white insole’s Nike Air graphic in blue as well as an embroidered Swoosh on the heel. Underfoot, a white midsole with a blue Swoosh near the heel is paired with a sail colored rubber outsole.
The Nike Air More Uptempo USA Hoops is slated to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
