When Nike announces a brand new silhouette, the world stops and listens. While the Nike Air Max TW "Black White" looks like something taken deep from within the brand’s archives, it’s actually an all-new model that’s been designed for the contemporary sneakerhead.
The latest offering in the long-running Tailwind series, the Nike Air Max TW takes design cues from the Air Max Tailwind 2 and 3. Crafted from a versatile combination of white mesh and black leather, a quartet of chevrons hits the lateral and medial side panels for a future-forward look. A “TW” badge adorns the tongue while Nike Swooshes are finely embroidered along the lateral toe. A newly-developed Max Air midsole sits down below, with two visible bubbles showcased on either side of the unit and one around the back for additional comfort with every step. Everything is rounded off with the footwear giant’s Pinwheel motif that’s printed on the insoles, finalizing the vintage-inspired aesthetic.
The Nike Air Max TW Black White is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike, as well as select Nike Sportswear retailers worldwide, both in-store and online.
