The Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Desert Camo” is a beige and tan mix of textile and leathers anchored by the distinct camouflage pattern that was developed and introduced in the early 1980s by the US Army. Desert Camo textile is mostly contrasted with the smooth brown leather around the toe, at the sides of the toe box, and along the eyestay. A soft, brown textile is used for the Nike Swoosh along the sides of the sneaker and around the ankle collar, with a strip of brown suede wrapped around the heel. The desert camo band around the tongue lays against brown textile, with “Nike” in dark brown script on the tongue tag. An all-white midsole with the milky white translucent outsole gives way to the exposed Max Air unit in the heel.
