While in the US we typically pay attention to the World Cup, throughout the world, football (or as Americans call it, soccer) is often the number one sport. German sportswear giant adidas has had a solid foothold in the market for soccer equipment, though Nike has secured endorsements from some of the biggest players on the planet, including CR7 and Ibrahimović, expanding their reach within the sport. With Nike F.C. having already taken over the Air Max 95, their reach is expanding onto the upcoming Air Max Plus “Social F.C.”
The upper takes on a grey camo mesh with accenting black hits coming via the plastic cage that wraps around the entire upper. Down on the mudguard, black patent leather pairs well with the suede mudguard that comes in the same dark shade. More black hits appear on the rear of the sneaker as the heel overlay comes in a slightly lighter shade of black, and hosts blue Tuned Air branding. More contrasting features land on the tongue as the lace set comes in white and the eyestays that host these laces get a royal shade of blue, continuing this hue onto the sockliner. Branding placed on the midfoot comes in the form of a white and blue Nike Swoosh, though the rest of your emblems get the Nike F.C. treatment, coming in gold on the tongue and insoles. Rounding out the look is the white foam midsole with exposed Air units in blue paired with a black and blue rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Plus Social F.C. is set to release in November 2022 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is $185.
