The Nike Air Max Plus Handcrafted Sesame immediately stands out with its palette of earthy, natural tones, incorporating shades of sesame and smokey mauve. These hues complement the handcrafted theme, emphasizing an artisanal, organic feel. The midsole displays a vintage, pre-aged technique with streaks of yellow beneath tan paint, giving the impression of wear and age.
This iteration of the Nike Air Max Plus also features a pseudo-handcrafted aesthetic, distinguished by a sophisticated layering of leathers. The shoe incorporates elements of outdoor gorp-core with a durable ripstop nylon mudguard and a reinforcing lace toggle. Above the "lava," the leather foxing adds to the handcrafted look. Further distinguishing this model, the tongue and insole feature a new Air Max logo reminiscent of a human pulse rate.
The Nike Air Max Plus Handcrafted Sesame was originally set to release on March 1, 2024. They will now drop on February 12 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
