What truly put Nike on the map, Air technology has become a calling card for The Swoosh over the last 40-some-odd years and the cushioning system continues to be a mainstay in their new designs. Joining the Air Max family in 2022 was the Air Max Flyknit Racer which toke the sole unit from the Air Max Pre-Day and added the comfortable Flyknit upper atop this. While we have already seen a multi-color rendition take over the model this year, Nike is slightly tweaking some accent colors with the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer “Multi-Color 2.0."
Construction across the model remains unchanged from other iterations as a vibrant multi-color Flyknit takes over the upper with black accents hitting the leather eyestays, neoprene tongue, and leather patch back on the heel. Accenting this familiar color combo are the threads along the eyestays and vamp as well as the “Flyknit” branding atop the tongue, all of which come in racer blue. Swoosh branding comes painted in black along the midfoot while the sockliner and insole come in this shade as well (sans the blue pinwheel Swoosh logo). Underfoot, a white Air Max Pre-Day midsole comes with white foam and black rubber near the heel’s exposed Air unit while the entire look is completed with a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer Multi-Color 2.0 is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
