We’ve seen Nike expand their Air Max offerings year-in-year-out and 2022 was no exception, especially considering the Air Max line as a whole celebrated its 35th birthday. To ring in this momentous anniversary, The Swoosh introduced two new Air Max models - the Flyknit Racer and Scorpion - however, they haven’t seen the same success retro iterations have. Even still, we’re expecting at least a few new colorways come 2023 with this “Blueberry” being the most recent addition to the lineup.
Standard construction on the Air Max Flyknit Racer remains with the upper’s Flyknit material coming to us in various shades of blue and even features hits of aqua green near the midfoot and collar. Contrasting this are deep blue hues along the leather eyestays, heel overlay, neoprene tongue, and lace set while the stitching details on the former of the four borrow the same color as the knit material below. Running across the midfoot is a painted Nike Swoosh in an even darker shade of blue while the entire design is rounded out by a white foam midsole featuring an Air unit in the heel and a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer Blueberry is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
