Brrrrr... Nike is Giving the Air Max DN a Winter Jacket
The Air Max DN has taken a back seat since the Air Max DN8 hit the streets, but with winter on the horizon, Nike is digging in the closet and throwing a coat on the OG DN. The latest pack of Air Max DN is bulked up in all-weather material, with a zippered cover over the upper.
Dropping in college grey, black and khaki, and black and silver, the bottom half of the shoe has the traditional shape and design of an Air Max DN, but gives way to a sleek textile upper with a zipper and pulley tab hanging down the middle. Underneath the zippered shell, the classic tongue and laces construction is replaced by a one-piece bootie with an elastic lacing system. The midsole is back to DN basics, but the shoe gets an extra boost of winter protection with a Storm Tread outsole.
Nike already weatherproofed the Vomero 5 with the Vomero 5 Roam, and giving the same treatment to the Air Max DN hints there might be even more booted-out gorpcore remixes on the way. This also isn’t the first time The Swoosh has added a zipper to an Air Max this week, with the return of the similarly jacketed Air Max 95 Z set to drop around the same time as the DN Roam pack.
The Nike Air Max DN Roam pack will be released Holiday 2025 through select Nike retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $190.
