Denim is a staple material that can be found in just about every wardrobe, sneakers included. As an American icon, we’ve seen this material land on plenty of models from The Swoosh, ranging from Air Jordan to Air Max silhouettes, though the latter of the two is getting another addition. Coming to us in a patriotic-esque red, white, and blue, "Washed Denim" is appearing on the Nike Air Max 97.
Dressed in the aforementioned washed denim from heel to toe along the mudguard, the rest of the sneaker delves into more typical AM 97 details. Hits of habanero red land just above the denim on one of the wavy canvas panels while the rest above come in a mix of sail and white. More stark white hits appear via the laces, tongue, sockliner, and insole, though all of this gets accented by habanero red details, many of which happen to be Nike branding hits. Underfoot, the white Air Max 97 midsole features a fully exposed Max Air unit in habanero red and is paired with a white rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 97 Washed Denim W was originally set to release on August 27th, 2022. After a small delay, they will now release on September 2nd through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing exclusively in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $185.
