South Korea has a special place in Nike’s heart. Over the past few years, the Beaverton-based brand has launched multiple colorways inspired by the Land Of The Morning Calm. From 2020’s Nike Air Force 1 Low “South Korea” to 2021’s Nike Dunk Low “South Korea”, they’re now adding a third pair into the mix with the Nike Air Max 97 "South Korea." With that said, unlike the previous two pairs, the influence hasn’t been taken as literally this time around.
From a distance, this Air Max 97 looks strikingly similar to a conventional “Triple White” offering. Upon further inspection you’ll find that there’s more than meets the eye. Working on top of a white mesh base, pure platinum leather wraps around the top half of the upper, while wolf grey suede surrounds the mudguards for an extra luxurious vibe. Icy blues hit the Swoosh and tongue badge. This hue also extends towards the heel pull tabs, where you’ll find “Nike” in Korean on the right and “2002” on the left.
The Nike Air Max 97 South Korea is set to release in 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $185. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
