2022 has been absolutely huge for the Beaverton-based brand. Not only are they celebrating 40 years of the Air Force 1 and 50 years of the Cortez, Christian Tresser's Air Max 97 is also marking a massive milestone with its 25th Anniversary. To commemorate this, Nike has been dropping a ton of must-have colorways over the past few months, adding the upcoming Nike Air Max 97 "Pink Gaze Black" to this list.
Adopting Tresser's iconic water ripple-inspired aesthetic, the top half of this AM 97 is crafted from leather and mesh and is painted in striking pink gaze, while the bottom half opts for a more understated black tumbled panel that offers a show-stopping contrast. Crisp white tones venture onto the sockliner and Max Air midsole, and for another pop of color, the Swooshes on the tongue and lateral side are both touched up in a hyper pink hue.
Set to release on November 1st, 2022, the Nike Air Max 97 Pink Gaze Black will drop in men's sizes for $185 at Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
