The “Mighty Swooshers” is Nike’s take on anime themed sneakers. For those who don’t know, the Nike Air Max 97 was created by Christian Tresser. The inspiration behind the design of the upper was water dropping into a pond. While the flow of Air Max 97's has been pretty consistent, the “Mighty Swooshers” gives this classic silhouette a new look.
White adorns the majority of the upper, via the tongue, midsole, insole branding, and small portions of the outsole. Blue and red polka dots hits really play up the “Might Swooshers” theme. Black outlining, piping, insoles, outsole, and underlay further highlight the details on this sneaker. Other black detailing is found via the custom graphics on the yellow pull tabs. A yellow visible Max Air unit is found throughout the midsole, with metallic silver hits on the upper and tongue patch.
