Nike Air Max 97 Kiss My Airs

Back in 1997, Christian Tresser changed the sneaker game forever with the release of the Air Max 97. Regarded by many sneakerheads as the most iconic silhouette in history, its water ripple-inspired design has pretty much stayed the same for the past 25 years, nodding to just how timeless it is. Now, as we head towards its 26th year, the Oregon-based sportswear giant has revealed the Nike Air Max 97 "Kiss My Airs." The latest colorway to release in this tongue-in-cheek collection, let's take a second to unpack all the cool details here.

Working on top of a versatile metallic silver mesh base, thin leather strips surround the top half of the upper, while the bottom half is completely covered in Nike's signature safari print in cement grey. A volt Swoosh features across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and this is complemented by the full length Max Air midsole underfoot which is done up with a unique gradient effect. Pull tabs adorn the tongue and back for that classic AM97 look and feel, and of course, you can't talk about this sneaker without mentioning the "Kiss My Airs" tag that is stitched around the heel, rounding off the design.

The Nike Air Max 97 Kiss My Airs releases in Spring 2023 in men's sizes. Set to drop at Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers online and in physical locations, a retail price has yet TBA.
