The internet and social media have done a pretty good job at knocking down the geographic walls of culture, but in the good ol’ days, sneakers were directly linked to the cities that loved them. DC, Baltimore, and Philly held it down for New Balances, NYC loved Air Force 1s, LA laced up Chucks and Cortez, Chicago was in love with Jordans, of course, and plenty more hyper-specific regional sneaker hot spots. For its latest collection of Air Max 95s, Nike is throwing it back to the city-specific obsessions, bringing together a family reunion of 95-obsessed communities.

The Nike Air Max 95 Family Reunion Collection features Big Bubble 95 colorways for four cities, an I-95 pair for Baltimore, an Atelier colorway for Paris, one for Hong Kong, and a 211 subway-themed iteration inspired by Seoul. The all-black upper and metal eyelets of the I-95 pair are made to represent Charm City’s bike life culture and dirt bike obsession, while the Atelier colorway adds natural textile inspired by the creative class and Paris’ “third space” studios.

On the Hong Kong colorway, a mix of red gradient and bright green combines to represent the city’s neon skyline. Finally, the Seoul colorway takes after the city’s sleek subway system and the vibrant Seongsu neighborhood’s stop number 211 with an upper in perforated grey shades and red laces.
