Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Slate GS heel

In 2025, Nike celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95 by reshaping the sneaker to fit more in line with the designer Sergio Lozano’s original sketches. With the addition of the enhanced Air units, Nike is reaching back in the vault to revive some of its classic colorways with the new big bubble build, including one of the silhouette’s original colorways from its initial release. You know it ain’t fun if the shorties can’t have none, so Nike is dropping the Air Max 95 Big Bubble Slate for the whole fam, and now we have official images of the iconic sneaker in GS sizing.

The silhouette starts with a clean white mesh base that flows into the matching white leather T-shaped toecap. Adding to the textural mashup are the silhouette’s iconic striped panels, which are all made of suede for this particular colorway. The Air Max 95 Big Bubble Slate features a descending gradient that goes from a navy blue to a lighter shade of aqua as it moves toward the white leather mudguard and matching midsole.

You can’t talk about the midsole without the key feature, the enhanced rear Air units that come dressed in an emerald green to break up the shades of blue on the upper. The Air units aren’t the only place green shows up, as a mint green pops up on the mini Swoosh on the heel and the Air Max branding on the tongue and insoles. Hints of silver on the tongue branding, tongue shroud, and the reflective 3M heel counter add a slight shimmering quality to the look.

The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Slate releases May 7, 2026, via Nike and select retailers online and in-stores.
