Even though 2025 marked the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 95, Nike is still pushing forward with a focus on the Sergio Lozano-designed silhouette in 2026. Couple this with the fever-pitch hype around the World Cup, and you’ve got a recipe for some fun celebrations on the AM 95. While England received a pair of AM 95s in an official collaboration with the country's football federation, Mexico has a deal with adidas, meaning Nike’s Air Max 95 Mexico is an unofficial homage to the nation.
The pair was first pictured via in-hand photographs in February, but one month ago to the day, official Nike images showcased the design in full. The pair features a white, green, and red color palette, an obvious nod to the Mexican flag, with a flame graphic in green and red applied to the white leather midfoot panel.
El Tiempo FC logos on the heel add another clear nod to Mexico, while the phrase “Amor que no se apaga” (“Love that never fades”) is found on the insole and on the heel of the outsole. Final details include red on the lace loops, lateral Swoosh on the collar, and embroidered tongue label, cream hues on the foam midsole, and an icy blue finish to the Air bubbles embedded into the sole unit.
