The original purpose of the Nike Air Max 95 was to be a performance runner, but it quickly shifted into a staple lifestyle and streetwear silhouette. As we’ve seen throughout the 30th anniversary celebrations of Sergio Lozano’s human anatomy-inspired AM 95, the model is versatile, able to take on a variety of materials, and has no problem undergoing new construction. In a callback to previous luxurious Air Max 95 releases, Nike has prepped a new all-leather triple black variant of the sneaker.
Seeing this pair, your mind might immediately spring to Supreme’s 2019 collection of Air Max 95s, which were done in ultra-lux leather and constructed in Italy. The NYC streetwear titan actually took inspiration from Nike’s Lux Pack in 2001 for their design, which featured the Air Max 95, Air Trainer SC High, and Air Force 1 High, all constructed with premium materials in Italy. Since then, the triple black colorway has graced the Air Max 95 dozens of times, but this new 2025 all-leather rendition is the closest we’ve gotten to a retro of the 2001 release.

Unlike the Lux pair from decades past, the Air Max 95 Big Bubble Leather Triple Black opts for the standard layered paneling, inspired by muscle fibers. The traditional mesh overlay around the laces is swapped out for a perforated leather overlay, which also partially covers leather lace eyelets. Waxed leather laces continue to add to the premium feel of the model, while the tongue is also coated in black leather. Final details include a debossed Swoosh on the lateral heel and heel tab, embroidered Air Max logos on the tongue, and a black foam midsole with clear Air units in the forefoot and heel. As the name suggests, the Air unit, specifically the one in the heel, is done in the “big bubble” build, which is much closer to the original tooling of the 1995 Air Max 95 than we’re used to on modern releases.
The Nike Air Max 95 Big Bubble Leather QS Triple Black will be released Holiday 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
