Nike’s Air Max line has forever held its own in the sneaker world, and since its initial inception, has transitioned more into a lifestyle lineup as opposed to the original design concept of running sneakers. With this in mind, we continue to see releases of various models in the lineup hit shelves like the Nike Air Max 90 which just appeared in a clean “Black University Blue” colorway.
Keeping the classic construction of the 90s runner, this Air Max 90 comes covered in a combination of mesh, leather, and TPU throughout its upper. Black shades land on the mudguard, toebox, eyestays, collar, and heel while select hits of university blue make their mark on the branding details. These can be spotted along the vamp with a mini Swoosh, atop the tongue with Nike Air Max text, and along the midfoot through an outlined Swoosh logo and more “Air Max” text. Back on the TPU heel tab sits more Nike Air text in university blue while the sneaker’s design is completed through a black-on-black Air Max 90 midsole and rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 90 Black University Blue is set to release Summer 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
