The onslaught of Nike Air Max 1 releases is set to continue throughout 2024. With pairs like the '86 OG Royal, Olympic, and '87 1 & Done on the way, other GRs, collabs, and special editions will drop alongside them. For Summer 2024, another AM 1 has been added to the lineup in Cream II University Red.
The Nike Air Max 1 Cream II University Red aligns with the color palette seen throughout current fashion trends. It comes in a white, university red, cream II, limestone, pale vanilla, and black colorway. White nylon dresses the underlays, which pair nicely with suede overlays in cream.
The leather mudguard is covered in limestone, sitting atop a pale vanilla-colored midsole that furthers the vintage vibe on this pair. University Red accents the Swoosh on the sides, branding on the tongue tag and back heel, and custom Since '72 labeling on the insoles. Another minor hit of red is present via the visible Air cushioning in the heel: a solid rubber outsole, split between black and red, finishes this Air Max 1 off.
