Even with 2022 being the 35th Anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1, this celebration has continued into 2023. On top of the vinyl toy-inspired “Sofvi” colorway, retro of the Air Max 1 “Big Bubble,” and nods to previous releases like the “White Red Black” AM1, we’re also set to receive a clean “White Black Royal” Air Max 1 in 2023.
Keeping the classic color-blocking we all know and love on the Air Max 1, most of the upper takes on shades of white with black and royal blue accents seen throughout. Around the mudguard, sockliner, and Nike Air text on the heel, we see royal blue shades that pop due to the white suede overlays and mesh underlays. Tonal white laces work through a white-shaded suede midfoot panel and rest below a black Nike Air Max-branded tongue tag. Further black shades take over the TPU eyelets and Nike Swoosh while everything gets completed by a white Air Max 1 midsole paired with a black/white rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 White Black Royal will be released online and in-store on August 10th, 2023, through Nike and select NSW retailers. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
