As we continue in 2023, the Nike Air Max 1 is having a highlight year. With the introduction of the Air Max 1 '86 OG "Big Bubble," alongside reimagined classics such as the "Chili 2.0," and "Shima Shima 2.0," the popularity of the first Air Max silhouette continues to dominate. Next up for the Tinker Hatfield-designed model is the Nike Air Max 1 "Wavy Gravy."
Joining the likes of the Nike Dunk Low, this Air Max 1 is also a part of the "Wavy Gravy" Pack. While the Dunk came blue-based, this AM 1 is done up in bright, neon volt. Leather overlays are paired with a wavy pattern reminiscent of topographical maps on the underlays. Helping to break up the all-neon vibe is a white Swoosh on the sides and midsole. Tying everything together is a volt-colored solid rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 Wavy Gravy is set to release in August 2023. They will be available via Nike, SNKRS, and select NSW retailers. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $160.
